The challenge
How do you launch a brand in a category that’s always been considered taboo? And how do you make that brand feel empowering, mainstream, and shareable? That was the challenge for Vella, a new women’s sexual wellness brand, as they looked to introduce their first product: Women’s Pleasure Serum.
The solution
We made Vella feel like a beauty product that belongs on display, rather than a sexual accessory to be kept in a drawer. From art direction to web design, we showed what pleasure really looks like, and celebrated desire in its many forms. After launch, Vella raised a record round of funding and started selling Women’s Pleasure Serum in Nordstrom, Saks, and Shen Beauty.
