In the inaugural episode of In The Making, our host Katie Steward chats with the founder of New Label Dogs, Jessica Wong.


Jessica is navigating the challenges of building a physical product and bringing it to market. In this episode, we cover the fashion index, a guide to sourcing the right fabric supplier, as well as Proposition 65, a California law that restricts the sale of fabrics with certain chemicals in them. Bryant tells us about his journey into cinematography, from his early introduction to television at Mark Twain School for the Gifted, to Pratt Institute, to his first job as an engineer at Radical Media.

We discuss the transition from technician to cameraman, to cinematographer, learning about Bryant’s first camera role on the David Blaine ABC Special. He’s come a long way, working with names like Matthew Akers and Lin Manuel Miranda, and is now shooting his first Netflix series set to launch in 2020.
